We are excited to present to you the annual PTA Walk-A-Thon.  This fund-raiser provides the majority of the funds that are needed to continue to generate the wonderful PTA sponsored family events held each year at Hazelwood Elementary. The money earned from the Walk-A-Thon benefits all Hazelwood children and families.

Most of the extra-curricular events and programs here at Hazelwood exist because of our annual commitment to the Walk-A-Thon. The PTA fundraising efforts generate the funding to support ORCA reading, Accelerated Reading, the annual Knowledge Fair, Field Trips, the Sock Hop, Bingo Night, Movie Nights, Carnival, classroom supplementary supplies, and educational assemblies.  Hazelwood is a great school because of these fantastic programs and we hope to raise the necessary funds through the Fall Walk-A-Thon to continue these programs.

In years past the annual PTA Walk-A-Thon has supported most all of these programs. It is our hope you will also realize how important this fund-raiser is to Hazelwood’s children.  It is our opportunity to have a direct impact on their educational experiences.

For those of you concerned, the Walk-A-Thon will take place during the P.E. and music portion of your child’s day.  Core educational time is not being given up for this event.

Our theme this year is “Walk the Plank”.  We are hoping to have all the children participate.   We also hope you are excited as we are about our prizes this year.  If you have any questions, please give us a call.  Thank you for your support.
